Our beloved octogenarian, Sister Mary Anthony of the Precious Blood, made her First Profession as a Poor Clare in her native Sri Lanka, then was chosen to go on foundation to Bendigo, Australia. She lived there for fifty-six years, for many years serving as the community's abbess. With the dearth of contemplative vocations in Australia and the new legislations set forth by the Holy See in the document Cor Orans, the Bendigo monastery had to close in early 2021, to the great sorrow of their many friends and benefactors who loved the small community dearly. Sister Anthony and Sister Clare then set out in faith to join us on the other side of the world in Roswell, New Mexico, and we rejoiced to be able to celebrate our Sister Anthony's 60th anniversary of Profession on June 26, 2022. This brief slideshow was assembled in her honor and for her joy.
